Guidance Counselor - International Programs

The Guidance Counselor International Programs is responsible for liaising and advising prospective students interested in international degree program offerings at UCP under the direction of Manager Admissions & Outreach. The role requires a deep understanding of global higher education landscape, strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to foster strong relationships with students/parents to successfully counsel them for admissions in the international programs portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Manager Admissions and Outreach in implementing the strategic deliverables for recruiting students in the international degree programs.
  • Manage and organize incoming leads through digital channels, walk-ins, telephone calls and emails on the master sheet for follow ups.
  • Handle and follow up general queries/concerns of prospective students, parents, information seekers effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist students in selecting appropriate courses and degree programs based on their interests and career goals.
  • Guide students through the entire application procedure for international universities, including document preparation, form submission, fee challan issuance and submission ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with prospective students, internal team members and academic department for scheduling admissions interviews.
  • Offer one-on-one counseling and organize Online webinars, live events such as open houses, workshops, seminars to disseminate information regarding international degree programs at UCP.
  • Liaise with the communications team to develop and participate in compelling promotional materials and graphics.
  • Assist the team in making logistical arrangements for internal and external events.
  • Represent UCP at various educational events.
  • Assist in meeting enrollment targets including the quality of student body.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all student inquiries and progress.
  • Conduct routine administrative tasks.
  • Follow university policies and guidelines related to the admissions process and otherwise.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Masters Degree preferably from a foreign university or HEC recognized University/Institute.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with confident and pleasing personality.
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in an international higher education setting. Preference will be given to those candidates having experience of working in international offices of universities or international higher education consulting firms.
