Grow Internship

Welcome to the GROW Project Based Internship Program, an initiative designed to provide UCP undergraduate students with hands-on experience in their respective fields of study. This document outlines the rules and guidelines to ensure a productive and professional experience for all participants.

Eligibility Criteria

1.1 Only enrolled undergraduate students of UCP are eligible for the GROW Internship Program.

1.2 Students must have completed at least 50% of their coursework to apply.

1.3 A minimum CGPA of 2.5 is required unless specified otherwise by the department.

1.4 Students receiving merit-based or need-based scholarships are encouraged to apply.

Internship Placement

2.1 Internships will be assigned based on the student’s area of study and career interests.

2.2 Placement decisions are final and will consider both student preferences and organizational needs.

2.3 Students may not switch internship placements without prior approval from the program coordinator.

2.4 Upon successful completion of the project and submission of the project report, students will receive their stipend of PKR 12,000 per month as a lump sum.

Attendance and Punctuality

3.1 Interns must adhere to the working hours specified by their respective Faculty/Department.

3.2 UCP reserves the right to adjust your working hours in the event of a scheduling conflict between your work and lecture timings.

3.3 A minimum of 90% attendance is mandatory to successfully complete the internship project.

3.4 Any absence must be communicated in advance to the supervisor, except in emergencies.

Code of Conduct

4.1 Interns are expected to maintain professionalism at all times.

4.2 Misconduct, including but not limited to harassment, discrimination, or dishonesty, will result in immediate dismissal from the program.

4.3 Students must adhere to the ethical guidelines and policies of the UCP they are placed in.

Deliverables and Reporting

5.1 Interns are required to submit a weekly progress report to their supervisor.

5.2 At the end of the internship, students must submit a detailed report summarizing their experience, learnings, and contributions to Supervisor, HR and Directorate of Student Services.

Evaluation and Certification

6.1 Interns will be evaluated based on performance, attendance, and deliverables.

6.2 A certificate of completion will be awarded to students who fulfill all project requirements.

6.3 Feedback from the supervisor will significantly contribute to the final evaluation.

Confidentiality

7.1 Interns must maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information acquired during the internship.

7.2 Sharing such information without authorization may result in disciplinary action and dismissal from the program.

Termination of Internship

8.1 The internship may be terminated if an intern fails to comply with the rules outlined in this document.

8.2 Students must notify the supervisor immediately if they wish to discontinue their internship due to unforeseen circumstances.

Support and Grievances

9.1 The supervisor will be available to address any issues or concerns faced by interns.

9.2 Students are encouraged to report any grievances promptly for timely resolution.
